The 0.78 carat, Natural Tsavorite Garnet has vivid saturation and excellent clarity with only very slight visible inclusions, and is a glowing neon-green color! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. The ring is clearly hallmarked 18K on the inside of the 2.25mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 5.5mm from the finger.

The shining green Tsavorite is a young gemstone with a very long geological history. Its home is the East-African bushland along the border between Kenya and Tanzania. The few mines lie in a uniquely beautiful landscape of arid grassland with bare, dry hills. Its dangerous country, the habitat of snakes, and now and then a lion patrols, on the lookout for prey. There, near the world-famous Tsavo National Park, that history began. An emerald-green variety of grossular garnet, tsavorite is one of the most popular and expensive varieties of garnet. Suitable for any type of jewelry, tsavorites can be faceted into many designs. Tsavorite is the highest priced garnet on the market today. Tsavorite has a rating of 6.5 – 7.5 on the Moh’s scale of gem hardness and is therefore very durable and suitable for all forms of jewelry. Due to its high refractive index and high dispersion levels, makes this stunning green gemstone incredibly sparkly and eye catching.
**Currently a size 8 ¼ but could be sized, free of charge, by my master jeweler so that it is ready to be gifted or worn upon arrival! Most rings can be sized a maximum of 3-4 sizes up or down depending on the style of the ring.
