The eyes of the lion are made of two, .05 carat, Natural Rubies that have excellent clarity and no visible inclusions, and are a dazzling blood red color! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. Accenting the rare gemstone, creating the mouth of the lion is a single 2.00mm round cut, natural Diamond accent (1 total) that are I color with VS2-SI1 clarity and weighs .03 carats. The ring is clearly hallmarked 10K on the inside of the 3.75mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 6.50mm from the finger

The red color is caused mainly by the presence of the element chromium. Its name comes from ruber, Latin for red.
