The 1.14 carat, Natural Peacock Tanzanite has vivid saturation and excellent clarity with no visible inclusions and is a captivating bi-colored purple-blue-green! Pictures are taken under professional lighting and have been magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. The ring is clearly hallmarked 14K on the inside of the 1.50mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 6.50mm from the finger.

Peacock Tanzanite is a rare, untreated version of the well-known Zoisite. The green to greenish-blue color zoning is due to the trace element Chromium. Peacock Tanzanite is a beautiful blend of purple, blue and green that resembles the captivating colors of Peacock Feathers. While peacock tanzanite may undergo heating during stone production, this does not create color within peacock tanzanite. The colors occur naturally. Heating tanzanite only produces the blue and violet colors for which the stone is known so the green and brown tones can only be found in natural untreated specimens. Tanzanite is currently being credited as being the most popular gemstone on the market. It is one of the rarest gemstones on Earth, and because it is only found in one location, geologists estimate its supply may be entirely depleted within the next 20 years.
**Currently a size 8 but could be sized, free of charge, by my master jeweler so that it is ready to be gifted or worn upon arrival! Most rings can be sized a maximum of 3-4 sizes up or down depending on the style of the ring. Please indicate your desired size at checkout and allow up to 10 business days for my local expert jeweler to complete sizing. I do not accept returns on items that have been custom sized or altered at your request so if you are unsure about an item, it may be best to have it sized by your local jeweler just in case.
