These six .02 carat Natural Welo Opals from Ethiopia are very well cut and polished and shows no flaws, chips, or surface scratches. It has vivid rainbow saturation, and is sparkling white color! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. Accenting the rare gemstone is a single 2.00mm round brilliant cut, natural Diamond accent that weighs .03 carats. The ring is clearly hallmarked 10K on the inside of the 1.25mm band. When worn, the top of the ring/stone is elevated about 4.00mm from the finger.

Ethiopian Welo opal is popular, as the crystal Opals from Welo Ethiopian are a very bright and spectacular type of Opal. The colors are very striking with red being common and blue quite rare, which is the opposite of Australian Opals which usually feature more blue tones. Welo opals are known to have some magnificent patterns and brilliant colors and are sometimes called Ethiopian fire Opal. Good Ethiopian Opals have diverse play of colors from neon reds, oranges, green, blue, white, yellow, brown and contra lush fire. There are even colors that are not present in Australian Opals like turquoise and indigos. Ethiopian fire Opals are popular as they have striking pattern formations which make each opal so unique.
