This men’s band ring features a high-polished shiny finish with the symbol of the 14th Degree Scottish Rite in black rhodium finish! Pictures have been magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. The ring is clearly hallmarked 14K on the inside of the 8.00mm band. When worn, the top of the ring is elevated about 1.00mm from the finger.

When a Scottish Rite Mason attains the 14th degree, he is entitled to wear the 14th degree ring. The ring is optional, issued by the Mason’s Lodge of Perfection if he requests to receive one. The ring symbolizes the completion of the Lodge of Perfection and serves as a reminder of the Brother’s Masonic journey. The design of the 14th degree ring was formalized in 1882, when it was described in the Proceedings of the Supreme Council, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, as “a plain, flat band of gold, five-sixteenths of an inch in width, having engraved or enameled on the outside thereof an equilateral triangle.” In Freemasonry, the equilateral triangle represents the three essential attributes of deity: omnipresence, omnipotence, and omniscience. Within the triangle is the Hebrew letter yod, which corresponds to the English letter J. Yod represents the first letter of the name of the Supreme Being. The 14th degree ring is intended to be worn on the third finger of the left hand, as established in the September 1882 Proceedings of the Supreme Council.
**Currently a size 9 ¾ but could be sized, free of charge, by my master jeweler so that it is ready to be gifted or worn upon arrival! Most rings can be sized a maximum of 3-4 sizes up or down depending on the style of the ring. Please indicate your desired size at checkout and allow up to 10 business days for my local expert jeweler to complete sizing. I do not accept returns on items that have been custom sized or altered at your request so if you are unsure about an item, it may be best to have it sized by your local jeweler just in case.
