The ring is clearly hallmarked 14K on the inside of the 7.50mm band. When worn, the top of the ring is elevated about 1.50mm from the finger.

It needs to be blended, or alloyed with other metals to strengthen it enough to wear. Different alloy recipes are used to color and determine all types of metal made into jewelry including platinum, white gold, yellow gold and rose gold. Yellow gold is made of pure gold mixed with alloy metals such as copper and zinc. The pros of yellow gold include that it’s the most hypoallergenic of all the three gold colors, as well as the purest color of all the golds. Yellow Gold is the easiest to maintain out of all three gold color types.
