The .30 carat, Natural Tsavorite Garnet has vivid saturation and excellent clarity with no visible inclusions, and is a vibrant granny-smith-green color! Photos are taken under professional lighting and are magnified at 50x zoom to show details that may not be visible to the naked eye. The pendant is clearly hallmarked 14K on the back, and is hung on a .90mm thick, 14K solid gold (not hollow), adjustable 18-20” cable-chain necklace that is also clearly hallmarked 14K on the sturdy lobster claw clasp closure. When worn, the pendant drop is 17.5mm from the chain.

The shining green Tsavorite is a young gemstone with a very long geological history. Its home is the East-African bushland along the border between Kenya and Tanzania. The few mines lie in a uniquely beautiful landscape of arid grassland with bare, dry hills. Its dangerous country, the habitat of snakes, and now and then a lion patrols, on the lookout for prey.
